Mormon Discussion Inc is a 501(c)(3) and is in the arena of journalistic work and is part of a free press. A free press is fundamental to a democratic society. It seeks out and circulates news, information, ideas, comment and opinion and holds those in authority to account. The press provides the platform for a multiplicity of voices to be heard. At national, regional and local level, it is the public’s watchdog, activist and guardian as well as educator, entertainer and contemporary chronicler. Under the “fair use” defense, however, another author may make limited use of the original author’s work without asking permission. Fair use is based on the belief that the public is entitled to freely use portions of copyrighted materials for purposes of commentary and criticism.
The fair use privilege is perhaps the most significant limitation on a copyright owner’s exclusive rights.
Subject to some general limitations discussed later in this article, the following types of uses are usually deemed fair uses:
- Criticism and commentary: for example, quoting or excerpting a work in a review or criticism for purposes of illustration or comment. A book reviewer would be permitted to quote passages from a book in a newspaper column, for example, as part of an examination of the book.
- News reporting: such as summarizing an address or article, with brief quotations, in a news report. A journalist would be permitted to quote from a political speech’s text without the politician’s permission.
- Research and scholarship: perhaps quoting a short passage in a scholarly, scientific, or technical work for illustration or clarification of the author’s observations. An art historian would be able to use an image of a painting in an academic article that analyzes the painting.
- Nonprofit educational uses: for example, when teachers photocopy limited portions of written works for classroom use. An English teacher would be permitted to copy a few pages of a book to show to the class as part of a lesson plan.
- Parody: that is, a work that ridicules another, usually well-known, work by imitating it in a comic way. A comedian could quote from a movie star’s speech in order to make fun of that star.
The Biblical prophecies that do genuinely impress me are those which predict the second gathering of the Jews to Jerusalem in the last days. They are quite specific in places and are very seemingly filled by events between 1900 and the founding of Israel in 1948 and onward. We know that these Biblical passages were written long before the modern era.
I don’t know how to account for desire of believers in the realization of prophesies. People have a vested interests in these things coming to ptas and thus play an active roll in making them happen.
People don’t want to answer the hard question…
Are you willing to examine all truth? Even if it goes against your current understanding of truth?
Thanks RFM for helping the process of examining the truth based evidences that are available. But DON’T STOP YET!
Our information creates our perceptions. “In this information age, ignorance is a choice. ” (Dr. Joe Dispenza)
Religions claim divinity to books originating from ancient records, but yet do not really know much about where it really came from.
The Atrahasis, Enuma Elish, Sumerian King List, Eridu Genesis, Code of Hammurabi, Emerald Tablets, Seven tablets of Creation,
Nag Hammadi, The Book of the Holy Twelve, the Book of Thomas, and apocryphal writings.
These ancient records predate the Old Testament and have been brushed under the carpet because they don’t fit the “proper paradigm” of what the world has been “told.”
They deconstruct Christianity as we know it, and are evidence of the source material where much of the original stories in the Old Testament originated.
“In this information age, ignorance is a choice. ” (Dr. Joe Dispenza)
Mauro Biglino, an Italian, worked for Vatican publishing company for 10 years translating the original Bible documents.
“The work of Mauro Biglino is having a domino effect on all three monotheistic religions.
We must keep in mind that all the curious things about the Old Testament of the Bible, about the origins of life and humanity, Genesis in particular, are nothing more than reworked copies of Ancient Sumerians Akkadian or Phoenician texts. Specifically from the Atrahasis, Enuma Elish, and the Epic of Gilgamesh.”
“Concerning the way we are created in respect of possible genetic engineering, Mauro Biglino interviewed some rabbis. Professor Safran, teacher of Ethical Medicine at the University of Jerusalem said:
“Cloning? What’s the matter? The Bible has always known it, just look at the creation of Adam and Eve. They have always known it, always. The Jews have always known that the Bible talks about genetic engineering, through the TALMUD”
So why didn’t they tell us?
Because the Roman Christians stole the book and turned it into something it isn’t!
They turned JHWH into God and that is something that he never was.”

Personally, I’m grateful the Russell M Nelson received revelation that a pandemic was on its way, it gave him a chance to advice the EPA fund manager so they could protect the $124B in widow’s mites that is too sacred to discuss or disclose. But after hearing members give excuses for the tone-deaf GC that the leaders didn’t have enough time to rewrite their talks, I’m afraid that god let his rainy-day fund be victimized as well. BTW, if now isn’t a rainy-day for people who work in the service industry, there is no such thing as a rainy day.
