He did it again. Pres Nelson repeated the story of the gunshot to his head that did not fire on Sunday afternoon.
Stevenson’s opening with the 1820-1830 decade as the greatest decade of the Church was purposely deceptive knowing: 1. the faithful would accept his/ Church version of the first vision i. e. the 1838 account v those of 1832 and 1835 ; 2. the BoM translation from the gold plates v use of a seer stone in a hat; and 3. bestowal of the Aaronic and Melchezidek priesthoods in 1829 v the first reference to such a purported event in 1835 long after the Church was established and after Smith’s receiving the High Priesthood in 1831. Per Stevenson and the rest of the church leaders, true believers shouldn’t hear the truth during GC and must remain prisoners in their concocted belief system.
