The Case of the Boy Who Killed His Little Sister: RFM: 380

When RFM debated the Midnight Mormons in November of 2021, Kwaku El tried to malign RFM by bringing up a case RFM had worked on as a private defense attorney.

Now RFM tells the story behind that case; a case from which RFM learned the meaning of true Christlike love.

It is a case that we call, “The Boy Who Killed His Little Sister.”

  1. I really appreciate you giving the details of this story. I cannot imagine the emotional state of the mother, who lost a child and then had to love the other in the face of all those who want continued punishment. Listening to the various people in your podcast (prosecutor, interviewees), I was sympathetic to the emotions brought up by what is thankfully a very rare occurrence. I understand the heinous nature of the crime makes everyone recoil and wants protection for society. However, like you I am awed by the mother who publicly supported the son, and did so courageously and admirably. You are 100% correct that if there is Christ-like love in this world she is a perfect example of it.

Shame on the prosecutor for obviously abusing his power trying to sway public opinion by essentially destroying that family again. I wish there were consequences for that type of behavior, but unfortunately we as a society give too much deference to that side of the justice system.
