RFM and Bill Reel are joined by Dr. Thomas Murphy to discuss what the presence of Native American myths, individuals, and stories in the Book of Mormon means. Are these evidence the Book of Mormon is true? Or do they give us an insight into some of the creative grist Joseph was using to compile his narrative of ancient American inhabitants? World-renowned expert in the field Dr. Murphy helps us find the answers!

While this research has tremendous explanatory potential for the origins or mormonism, I can’t help but think of RFM’s episode on parallelism from awhile back.
So many parallels being drawn between minute details that it just isn’t reasonable to assume Joseph knew about.
Rocks are now “metaphorical arrows”. It’s a bit much to believe.
Where is the evidence for these parallels? And for Joseph’s extensive interactions with native Americans PRIOR to the BoM being written?
Drawing bullseyes around bullet holes much?
I would love for some of this to be true. But I’d need to see the evidence.
