Erasing people from history shows a disregard for truth. It is the “go to” of dictators, whether political or religious, whose positions cannot stand up to accurate facts. It is a form of deception. And I am utterly certain that the irony of Gods (so called) Anointed engaging in the same practice as murderous totalitarian regimes is lost on the church leadership. Totally lost…
I was never told the reason why Joseph Smith was arrested in 1844. I was told it was “trumped up charges” but never told what those chargers were. Well, Joseph Smith told the Town Marshall to close down “The Nauvoo Expositor” newspaper, and destroy the printing plates in the street, and burn all issues. That paper was printed by William Law, the First Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church. I was never told that. The Church “erased” William Law.
