It’s been over 12 years since I’ve stopped going to church, except for when I take my dad to his old ward every year or so. After listening to the episodes on the Light and Truth letter, I try to think of what it would be like if I went back. The people are really nice, most of the leaders seem nice, the church does some good things.
I would bite a hole in my tongue trying not to say anything in Sunday school or priesthood. My mental health would suffer. I held on to the Book of Mormon so long. I cried when I knew it wasn’t true anymore. The physical evidence of every topic is so overwhelming compared to apologetics. It seems like all the church has is “the evidence of things not seen”. It seems like if you had the truth, your arguments would be the best.
